How many times have you written off sexist behaviour stating, ” Boys will be boys”. Stopping the violence against women doesn’t start by telling them what to wear. It starts by educating young men about what attitudes, thoughts and behaviours are harmful and teaching them to be accountable for these. Reminding them that they are not animals. They are leaders; human beings, capable of self-control and need to learn about the privileges they hold that are invisible to them. They are worthy of love, growth and the vulnerability that is the birth place of healthy connection.
FearLESS Together is a community project which works to bring men and women together so we can live without fear of each other and be courageous in our pursuit of life. Together. We are building a society where we don’t victim blame; where we don’t trash men, but rather build each other and create small conscious changes in our everyday behaviour. Changes that provide a safe space for us all to call home.
